| Castle Pacific Marina Inn Airport Hotel |
Honolulu Airport |
$109
- $135 |
This hotel has 119 air-conditioned
guestrooms on three floors, with exterior corridors and no
elevators. Rooms have one queen bed or two twin beds and cable TV.
Bathrooms have showers only. Free parking and a complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle service are
available for all guests. We have stayed
at this hotel several times. It is very plain and basic, but
it's the least expensive place we've found when all we need is a
place to sleep overnight between plane connections. Although
we've never encountered a problem, the hotel's "restaurant" seems
more like a nightclub with a lot of locals drinking and enjoying themselves.
A little higher priced, but nicer hotel close to the airport, is the
Best Western The Plaza Hotel listed below.

The
Hawaiian Village is probably our favorite place to stay in
Honolulu. For us it is a true resort, because we can stay there
three or four days and never feel like straying more than a block or two
away. There are restaurants, shopping, and it is located on Waikiki's best
beach. 2005 Kalia Road, Honolulu

Kahuku, North

$293 - $392 |
(Formerly
the Turtle Bay Hilton Resort) This is the only
hotel/resort on Oahu's North Shore and recently completed a $40
million renovation. This beach front resort is located about an
hour's drive from Honolulu and every room has an ocean view. We go there when we want to "get away from it all" on Oahu.
We love the hotel's location, and we always receive prompt and
friendly service. You will need to rent a car if you're
staying here, unless you want to spend the entire time at the
resort. We recommend the resort if you want to get away from the hustle and
bustle of Waikiki without going to a neighbor island. 57-091 Kamehameha Highway,

lessons, and catamaran rides are available. The Hanohano Room
on the top floor is our favorite restaurant on Oahu. 2255
